Oswestry Health Equalities Programme (HEP) Crisis and Creativity

Shropshire’s Drug & Alcohol Strategic Commissioner led this programme in partnership with local VCSE and creative providers with a very clear aim to improve health outcomes for people living with co-occurring mental health and drug and alcohol dependency. 

This partnership provided the impetus for champions from local providers to work together to co-design and co-deliver a programme.  Gaining an understanding of each other’s way of working allowed the partnership to develop a response to local need.

The design and delivery of the programme demonstrated to local leaders real integrated activity that improves outcomes for people.
