Living a Larger Life, Calderdale Council

The co-produced strategy document Living a Larger Life:  Using creative activities to help people live well in Calderdale sets out plans to make Calderdale a leader in using arts and culture to support people’s health and wellbeing whilst tackling the health inequalities in the area.  The five-year strategy sets out how Calderdale will respond to the recommendations of the APPG report, Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing and resulted in investment in the post of Arts & Health Manager hosted by South South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYPFT).

Developed by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Calderdale Council, Calderdale CCG, Creative Minds and partners, Creative Health approaches are further embedded through the Calderdale’s Vision2024 theme ‘Kindness and Resilience’ and embedded in both the Wellbeing Strategy and the Council’s 10-year Cultural Strategy.
