Example of: Ensuring quality governance
Arts and Health Commissioning in South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust (SWYPFT)
West Yorkshire
The Arts and Health Programme Manager at South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) works with a steering group that provides the governance framework to support decisions about projects initiated and how money is spent. All decision making in the Calderdale Creativity and Health Programme links back to the Living a Larger Life Strategy, and Calderdale Creates (Calderdale's strategic cultural network) - the project reports monthly to a steering group made up of SWYPFT, Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council, Calderdale CCG and other partners (Arts Council England, Locala CIC).
Working within an NHS trust the work is required to comply with robust NHS policies and procedures, from risk assessment protocols through to information and data management. Most Creative Health providers working with SWYPFT are well established and have their own policies and procedures in place that meet standards required. The Trust’s legal team will review and sign off any external policies in advance of a project going ahead.
