Live Well Wakefield Small Grants Fund

Live Well Wakefield has a small grants fund for the VCSE sector to access, to support delivery of the social prescribing model.  In 2017, when the initial model was being developed there was an understanding by the key stakeholders that to develop the model properly, community capacity needed to be built.

Initially a small amount was allocated from the overall budget to build capacity.  This funding has continued to grow.  There is now a more targeted approach to the funding as the grant is open to community projects that can respond to the issues and priorities identified.  The conditions of the funding require organisations to share the findings from their interventions to support further service development.
