Cultural Commissioning Board

The Commissioning Development Manager has recently established a Cultural Commissioning Board, chaired by a member of the One Gloucestershire’s Integrated Care Board (ICB) with the Director of Create Gloucestershire as the Vice Chair.   The aim is that the board will support development of the local ambition to increase the creative health offer and have creative interventions within all clinical pathways.   It will have responsibility to develop a strategy to support the embedding of Creative Health within the system.

A new initiative with the board’s terms of reference and membership is in process, along with agreement on whether the Cultural Commissioning Board will report to the ICB or to the Enabling Active Communities Board.  The latter has a focus on health inequalities and as a multi-disciplinary board has representatives of the Police, Local Authority, Public Health and the CCG amongst its members.
